If you are using any baby bottle a brush is a must to clean them properly. This really helps get into the small space of the teat to get the last residues of milk out.
Is a bottle brush necessary?
Bottle brushes are not necessary – if an Oxyclean soak doesn’t work to your satisfaction and you find yourself in the position of having to use one, just pitch the bottle. If you have so much gunk buildup inside the bottle that doesn’t freely rinse clean, don’t take the risk to miss a little speck with the bristles.
How long are bottle brushes good for?
While we feel that the sponge does a great job of cleaning bottles, it gets torn up easily when repeatedly forced through narrow neck openings. The soft bristles get bent out of shape quickly, and you will likely end up wanting to replace your bottle brush every 3-4 weeks, depending on how frequently you use it.
